I created We On Our Own because my family found out one thing the hard way: when disaster hits, you are on your own.

Yes, help will try to get to you. But you tell that to your family when they are cold, scared, hungry, and looking at you for answers you don’t have. You tell that to your children when the lights have been out for three days and the water stopped running and nobody is coming. You tell that to yourself at two in the morning when you realize that everything you thought was a plan was just a piece of paper with good intentions written on it.

That is why WOOO exists. Not because of a business plan. Not because of a market opportunity. Because I stood in that moment, and I decided no one in my family — and no family I could reach — would ever stand in it unprepared again.
